The first round of the Yamaha SL Cup 2008 Malaysian Series started off at Sepang last weekend. The series is jointly organised by MAM, Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd in Japan through Birel Pacific, Raycer Powerhouse, and RL Karting.
Ryan Mumford won the Senior category in the first round in varying weather conditions, while Bryan Mehta won the Junior category. The Senior category included experienced drivers such as Calvin Wong, Melvin Moh, Victor Cheong, and Fahmi Ilyas making for an extremely competitive event.
