Mohammad Afiq (in 125 open) and Muhammad Hasif (in Rotax Junior) got off to a flying start at the first round of the AAM KKS Malaysian Karting Championship held at Sepang International Karting Circuit last weekend. Timothy Yeo won the MicroMax category, while Brandon Lee won the Yamaha Junior category.
Afiq had to deal with keeping his concentration as the extremely high amount of laps during the day took a toll on him physically and James Lee was able to close in and overtake with just a handful of laps remaining. Afiq then left if to the very last moment on the last corner of the last lap to take back the lead!
