CIK-FIA Updates: Macau date change, starting regulations etc.

The FIA World Motor Sport Council has announced some decisions on karting.

New starting rules have been put in place, with a white line to separate rows 110 meters leading up to the start line. 110m does seem a fairly long distance, perhaps with the intention of keeping karts from touching when coming around the final corner. In addition to this the speed when approaching the start line is to be at between 15 and 25kph.

Other decisions include changes to homologation extensions, calendar structure, and a change of date for the Macau CIK-FIA Asia Pacific Championship from October to 27-30 November.

British Performance at WSK Round 1

WSK International SeriesTonyKart drivers Will Stevens and Gary Catt made it a British clean sweep of the top two positions in the first round of the WSK series held in La Conca, Italy. Stevens took first in both the pre-final and final ensuring maximum points and Catt came in at second best both times also taking in a massive points haul. With the remaining positions changing around from pre-final to final the British duo earned themselves a healthy points-gap in the championship standings. Jack te Braak took 3rd in the final on his Zanardi.

Unfotunately none of the Asian drivers at the event made it into the final stages of the event.
