Tire Treatment

Postby Domingor » Tue Nov 24, 2009 12:42 am

Hey guys, Ron from the US.

I was at the track yesterday and a topic sprouted on tire treatment chemicals. I am not sure what regulating body the Philippines abides by, but I am just curious if it is common in the Philippines to use tire treatment chemicals? If you do use tire treatment chemicals, does it help?

In the US, I have heard that tire treatment chemicals are illegal if they are applied to the tire AT THE TRACK. So, the loop-hole around that would be to apply the chemical at home.

Let me know. I just joined the forum. Hopefully it is active!!!

Generally illegal everywhere. Proper big races make it impossible by having the drivers purchase the tyres at the track and then impounding tyres between races.
