Kamlesh sent me a bit of info!

In the Senior category Aditya Patel qualified on pole, took heat 1 and heat 2, but then seized his engine in the pre-final (rare in a rotax!). He was able to recover to 2nd 2 seconds behing Ameya Walawalkar (who won the Asia Max round in Kolhapur).

In the Juniors there was a similar come-back but one place higher as Vishnu Prasad overcame a throttle-cable failure in the pre-final to start from the back and win the final! Karan Goenka was 2nd and Parth Ghorpade 3rd.

Shashank Shankar won in the cadets, followed by Arjun Maini and Suriya.

All the racing was held on a dry track despite a bit of a drizzle now and then. :D

Thanks for the info Kamlesh :D.

Mikko, you rightly added "rare in a rotax". We have NEVER seized an engine in the past 5 years.
This year in round 1 Aditya was fastest. Engine ran 75 laps one day, and seized in the first 8 laps next morning.
Round 3 ,Fastest on wewdnesday. Engine ran 75 laps, no probs.
Next morning , seized on lap5.
Fitted another , engine, fastest again, by 4tenths.
Prefinal, engine seized on lap 4, after running and winning heat 1 and 2.the previous day.
For the final, put in an old engine, and ran.moved up from last to second, in spite of a few roadblocks1.
I guess if we had left that one at the track, it may have seized the next day. Savvy?
Do Rotax engines catch a chill?Maybe we should take them away from the track and keep them in a hotbox, sealed, for the night!
Well, can you throw some light on this seizing next morning phenomenen?
Really shameful!
