Hi all karters..

Im dean from Brunei,im a beginner in a rotex max category,but racing in 100cc for almost 4yrs in brunei and have been racing in miri,ive never been racing in kl before, i just wana know how much is the cost? if i wana join racing in malaysia.

Rotax Mojo Asia Challenge or Malaysian Rotax Max Challenge arrive-and-drive packages available at RM4,000* per round which includes:

  • Use of good condition 2007 ****-brand kart model ******.
  • Use of Rotax Max Engine P6 model, year 2006 - recently rebuilt ready to win.
  • 1 set new dry tyres + 1 set used tyres for friday practice + sat/sun free
  • practice. Additional tyres such as wets or extra dry tyres paid by driver.
  • Price includes friday practice track fees mechanic etc.
  • All fuel, oil, chain lube etc. supplied by the team.
  • 1 mechanic dedicated to you and your kart.
  • You will be run from the official team awning and receive setup help from team engineers.
  • Lunch and drinks provided at the track for the driver+1 guest.
  • All damages paid by driver, returnable deposit of RM1,000 required for damage.
  • Additional practice days available at additional cost (for example thursday before the event).
  • Unipro or Alfano data-logging system available at RM250 per round, or you can bring your own system.
  • Entry fee to be paid by driver.
  • Drivers to pay for their own accomodation and travel however we can provide assistance and advice in getting the best deals.
  • Drivers should have their own suit, shoes, gloves, helmet etc.
  • Drivers must have a valid racing licence.
*Please note the above price package is for Malaysia Rotax Max Challenge rounds or Asia Max Challenge rounds held in Sepang circuit only for the Junior or Senior category. Additional costs apply for Kota Bharu round or overseas events. The above was just a sample that I drew up that I hope some kart shops would use to advertise their own packages... the "RM4,000" is just a made-up number so doesn't have any relevance to what kart shops might actually charge. :D

Costs should be your racing licence + your travel & accomodation + entry fee + all racing expenses. How much the expenses are depend on things such as if you rent or bring your own kart/engine etc etc etc. How are you planning to race Dean?

The good thing is that all Malaysian-Max rounds are Zone-inscribed so are open for anyone in the Zone to take part in and race for trophies (I think) but not Malaysian-Max points. It's great racing do join us! The Asia-Max rounds always have the largest and most competitive grids so they're the best rounds to join. :D

Upps didnt know thats just a sample. anyway if I'm not wrong, a Brunei karter raced at RMAC 1st round at KB just paid RM$5000. so that sample is pretty close I think..
