For those of you who are eagerly waiting for news on Pekan track, I was at the new circuit last week for a track inspection. The track is a combination of a new re-surfaced area which was once a car park running out onto the main resort road and joining to a new section. The track is 1061 meters with 19 turns. It is a bit like Shah Alam during the early days. However, all safety aspect will be looked into and I think it is a very challenging track to drive.

This track will be a permanent feature in Pekan and I believe the kapchai race is being held there one week after us. There will be limited practice time on the new circuit. The track will be opened for practice only on the wednesday before the race. So essentially there will be no advantage to any driver as no one is allowed on the circuit before then.

I hope to be able to send out the newsletter for this race soon. I am waiting for final confirmation on the name of the hotel and other things before sending it out. Just be patient for a short while.
