James, thanks for the reply.

Alex's suggestion about bringing in an impartial third party may be closer to the answer. If cost is a factor, perhaps invite a rep from other racing team to be there. Yes, you mentioned and tried that before but this time make their role official.

We just want a level playing field. What ever the rules are we would like to see them written [i]down and strictly enforced. Any exceptions or exemptions or "extenuating circumstances" only give rise to suspicion and more unpleasantness.

Well said Alex.

Well, my question considered answered. How about the other teams?

Otherwise...

Alex,

Thanks for your explicit reply. I am glad you have voiced out what you want to be heard. Since round 4 in last year's series, I have taken over the role of doing the sealing either my self or an entrusted staff. I will ensure that this will be further tightened to ensure all conform to the regulations.

I will still allow engines to be sealed on race days but that will be at the risk of the driver. If the scrutineers cannot finished checking and seal the engine the driver may miss out on the practice or even worse the time trial. Therefore it will be to their advantage to have the engines sealed way before the event.

For the AMC, all foreign drivers will have to get their local distributor to seal the engines. Once this is done, we will accept the engines as checked. Likewise when our drivers go to the other countries for the rounds, the organiser there will also accept the seals that we have issued. For peace of mind, I wish to inform you all that the seals numbers can be traced by us as to who was the distributor who had the seals.

I thank Alex for your suggestion.

James Leong
