With a Swiss Hutless Magic trying to get rid of excess grip on the rear as the track got more and more grip which was resulting in bogging and understeer I found that a hard axle worked best. The bogging was almost gone and the kart turned in a lot better.
In
general most seem to feel that as a track grips up, you should go with a softer axle.
The feeling for wet conditions varies a lot as well, with some saying Soft is the way to go and others saying Hard.
