Deo, are there any other hotels (other than the one we'd stayed last year) near the track?

Unfortunately no, Saraburi inn has shutter bus that is convinince for you all. If you stay somewhere else you have to have private van. The distance is more or less the same.

I will be racing in the Veterans class and my sons are both in open 125 using KF2 engines.

This is our first race in Thailand so really looking forward as we have heard the track there is very good

Yeah, the track is great, but just a little bit far from town.
AND the best thing is U and my father will not be the only veteran drivers there in Thailand.

By the way, the Hong Kong Kart club have just decided HK will hold the last round of the Asia Max (AMC), will U guys come and race? (also Deo?) :?:

When will that be? :bom: I am going to join ROK Cup World Final in South Garda a week before AKOC Thailand.

Hi Vica,

That is good news if there are lots of veterans as I am sure your dad is feeling the same as me and wants someone else we can battle with, only problem is maybe we wont be standing on 1 and 2 on podium

The track itself is about 2 yrs old, it's quite short and narrow, BUT it's the only kart track HK ever have (not including the tracks @ mainland China).

Muaklek is a nice pleace to stay but it takes around 45-50 mins to the track, because it is 50-60 km distance.
Kaengkhoi is even further, would take more than an hour to reach the track.

I'm going to die - I'm running in the masters and DD2 classes :-( The map makes it look very twisty. How smooth is the surface?

Saraburi lived up to expectations for the Junior class - excellent circuit, big, competitive field and lots of hard racing. Since we were not expecting to compete with the KF3s the sudden appearance of the X30s and last minute adjustment of weights did not bother us at all but the situation could have been handled better.

Ryan went to Saraburi to learn and boy did he have a "learning experience". The whole weekend was up and down, with a mysterious lack of bottom end that had Choo Ming scratching his head. The problem was finally traced to a brand new battery that was a dud. In the final he was too anxious to make up for lost places, went for a gap that was too small and unfortunately took out the boy in front. Re-started near last and chased back to a minor podium spot in Rotax.

Congrats to Rahami, who drove well to win in Rotax Junior and Rahul and the other prize winners.
