I have one too and did not know it was worth some money. It is not for sale though.

I found the part where Senna writes about his mental approach the most interesting. A good read if you can get hold of it.

Hi

I've been looking for this book for my son. He has a borrowed copy at the moment. Found plenty of places to buy it but mega expensive. Amazon have a few copies, so not sure why they said they didn't and two available on ebay at the moment and there are other book sellers who have it. Just type in the title on Google -

If you still have no luck, email me on leila@jerseymail.co.uk and I'll try to give you specific websites.

Good luck!

Leila :)

Has anyone made a .pdf version of this book. I have tried buying it many times but the order always gets canceled by the seller.

It's funny reading the note from ROCK about being an OKAY Karter. I totally agree with the Mental approach, but I think I had that anyway; my parents once asked me to stop looking so intense whilst watching a timing screen, as they thought people would think something was wrong with me. Everything had to be perfect, or I was never happy.

Years later at another circuit which I recall reading with delight at the time, it mentioned Jenson Button & a commanding performance in Autosport. He's now leading the WC, so I can see where he is coming from when he talks of of his son talking of other drivers too.
At the same place when I had established myself, I overheard some lads asking the Race Director about me & his response was "He's the Schumacher of this place"! I was rather irritated, as I was widely known for wearing the legends overalls & famous yellow helmet.

Anyway, despite the fact that this happened when I began karting, it was nice to get a chance to race with Nigel Mansell in 1995; my first wet race & a large bloke almost beside me on the grid. He was obviously faster in such conditions, but I stayed on the Island after he gave it too much throttle. Months later, he was in my area signing his book & I popped in with a photograph the organisers had sent to me & I sheepishly approached asking if he would sign it along with the book; somehow he clocked me & rose to his feet with a wide smile (after looking rather bored before) & he wouldn't let go of my hand whilst shaking it. I may be British, but I was a detractor of Mansell when I went along to the race & had to eat my hat, as he was actually a genuine & rather nice man; I just wish I had met SENNA on one occasion.
