Could any one of you Philippine drivers please give me the names and contact numbers of Hotels in the Alabang area or close to the track for next weekends race. When i check on net only two hotels come up on the site.

Alabang is relatively far from carmona track but this place has more hotels compared to other places near carmona. It's about 15-20 kilometers i think but it doesn't take too much time from alabang to carmona.

Regarding the hotels in alabang, just search "alabang" or "muntinlupa" in wikimapia to get some ideas about hotels in there. You can also try this site: http://www.clickthecity.com/search/resu ... tr=alabang

BTW, I'll watch AKOC in carmona. :D

better to book a hotel in tagaytay city. it's about 30 minutes from the race track. nice cool weather, cheaper hotels, nice restaurants nearby. besides coming from alabang, you will have to pass the expressway which is now being renovated, therefore, a lot of traffic mess in the morning. though the official hotel is in alabang, maybe they have a shuttle service for the participants. but i heard from simon tan of thailand, the hotel costs 140us! there's a days inn/hotel in tagaytay city. check the website.

yes, this is a better idea. I forgot to include the ongoing construction in the bridge in alabang.

The legendary Filipino warmth and hospitality was clearly evident at Carmona this last weekend. Participants were treated to efficient organization, good racing and excellent entertaiment when participants were treated to a lovely show on the friday welcome dinner.

Racing was a mix of both wet and dry where we had a dry saturday for the heats and torrential rain for the finals on Sunday.

Racing was fast and furious and it made for very good and clean racing. Bryan Mehta won the junior category while Stefano Marcelo won the senior class, not however before Fahmi Ilyas provided a masterful display of wet weather driving. Fahmi had led from the 3rd lap of the race only to be called in 4 laps from the end for a loose bumper mounting.

List of results that I managed to get

Cadet 60

1. Christian Gaddi
2. Gewiss Gabriel Dacasin
3. Don Benidict Brizuela

Junior

1. Bryan Mehta
2. Renz William Pazcoguin
3. Natasha Seatter

Senior

1. Stefano Marcelo
2. Aaron Mumford
3. Vica Chong

Missed the Rok results and Yamaha class which I believe was won by Indy Vilalon.

Waiting for the next race in Jakarta!

I thought stefano didn't race in the AKOC because he just raced in the WSK in Italy last July 17-20.

Congratulations again to Bryan! This time at the front front the beginning :D.

I've confirmed my flight to Jakarta to cover the AKOC event, so expect comprehensive photo coverage and a race report on KartingAsia.com after the event ;). See you there. :D

Thank you Mikko. It would be much better if you were in Jakarta with your kart rather than your camera but it would be great to see you there anyway.

One of the nice things at Carmona was the fact that all the competitive spirit was kept on the track. Off the track, there was a good feeling of comraderie. On it, no quarter was asked for or given making the racing very good.
