Bira is one really great track! and its challenging too! mini siam track in pattaya is also a very challenging track, very pumping, the bad thing is about mini siam is with the pumpy track, it can brake things on your chassis, like with me, i broke my brakes 3 times.... although, in another way, the pumpy roads are good, coz its very challenging because the pumps can make u spin and lose control of the kart ect.... so its a fun track to go to!

Bira is open everyday have also some rent karts also.Several layouts which they change almost weekly. Saraburi is an other new track and there we are racing there all the time, same as Bira.
Khorat is nice, but used only for one race / year.
Kart Speedway and Siam Karting Circuit are mostly for rent karts and those are located in the middle of Pattaya.
Khon Kaen track is small and it was few years ago when we had race there last time.
Hua Hin is for rent karts also.We haven't ever raced there.
Karting stadium is exellent indoor track and open daily exept, I think wednesday.
Bangkok Racing Circuit was one of the best tracks, but nowadays too bumpy. Now mostly used by motorcycles and normal cars.
Klaeng is nice track also, but this year we didn't race there.
Motorsportland is for rent karts only, because of noice regulations.

Hi,

I've been racing for 4-5 years in Thailand Championships and Super Kart series in TAG Master Class.

If you live in Pattaya, next Sunday I'll practice in Bira.

Come and have a look and if you are interested to join racing I can explain more.

I keep my kart at Unit # 10 and my kart no is 428

How much does it cost to store a kart at Bira? What is the favorite TAG engine used by racers at Bira? What's the weight and age for TAG and TAG Masters?

Hi,

Bira has some containers where you can keep your kart.
Mostly those are shared with group of friends and when shared the cost is no more than 1000 baht/ month.
Bira is good for Rotax, but there are also other brands as Sonik and KF2:s.
Weight depends on the engine. For Rotax 165 kgs and for Sonik and KF2 174 kgs. Next year Rotax will be the same, but Sonik and KF2 maybe 178 or more.
Tag Pro is less than 35 and Master +35.
You can find more info about racing in Thailand in our web site www.kartthai.com

We don't seem to have any Thai kart shop owners on the forums yet. :?

Jukka covered the approximate storage cost if you share the space, the other costs are very variable...
Usually for kart servicing you'd have a kart shop to take care of it and it would be on a per-day basis if you need a mechanic at the track and then for larger repairs/engine service you just send it in to the shop, although for simple things it's best to learn by yourself. :)

btw great summary of the tracks in Thailand Jukka!

Thanks Mikko.
Mike and his Prosport team is servicing karts in Bira and he stays there everyday, exept some weekends if we are racing or practicing in Saraburi.
He can arrange storage also for the karts and other stuff.
Nice guy and you can call him 086-1511560
Track fee in Bira is 800 baht/ day and additionally they charge tent/pit fee, which I think is 500 baht/ unit, but that you can share with 2-3 other drivers.
If you take service from Mike all these fees are included in his fees and the his facilities are much better than normal pit tents.
If you need new kart contact me first. Ihave couple brand new Trulli 3 chassis left for very reasonable price.I have had several myself and will race with new one also next year.Good brakes and all OTK spare parts easily available.
Also I'm importing with Tommi Mychron 4:s to Thailand.
