Do you have an open tire rule over in Asia?

Here we have to use Bridgestones for our regional and national series we run and then Mojos for the Rotax stuff. Some of the younger kids' classes use MGs.

For the last whole week has been testing different tires and setting at the Tuas circuit and this is what I have to say.I agreed that Vega probably is the best tires that you can buy but my personal favourite now is MG Yellow FZ which is the subsidery of Vega. I also have tested the new CIK homogated tires YKB by Birdgestone. I think it works very fin ein cold countries but like Singapore a hot country the wear rate is very high even though they give a lot of grip.Sometimes too much grip is not always good took us so much time to rework on the chassis set-up.

IN denmark, we are driving with Dunlop Sl6Jm For the KF and Kz class' somethimes, even Vega (green).

In the rotax it is Bridgestone.. don't know witch one except for the junior class, witch is Bridgestone Ykc.

My favorite tire is proberly the Bridgestone.. and specially the YKC/YKB. :)

My favorite , had tried Vega, Sl5, xp white, Dunlop DCM,DCS, MRF, MG Yellow, Green, Bridgestone YJL, YKB and YKA and MOJO

Favorite, Bridgestone YKA~~ Superb Grip on shifter and Rotax RM1 kart, shave 2 sec off from mojo as tested in permas go kart(M'SIA).

Then Vega xp white, MOJO, YJB. least favorite dunlop.

For drift MRF and Bridestone YKL. Make ur race kart like drifting machine!!

Jx,

I dunno the direction your questions ar heading to as I find the 2nd question pretty invalid.

Anyhow to answer you & the rest - we use Mojo D2 for RMC races, MRF for KKS Club races ( when it happens ).

In regards to your second question - what's the best tyres to use......may I ask, best for WHAT? You should use tyres you are racing in so you are used to the grip levels and reading tyres wear when tuning your chassis style and driving style.

However, if you are in open class, then Vega are good as i was told.....

Yes jules is correct,

For permas, its open club race, u can race with whatever u bring, whatever tyres u fitted.
