Ross Green's frustrating weekend
3rd fastest for practice and qualified 3rd on grid for heat 1
Starter switch failed - Did not start.
Sunday fastest in free practice (just!) Started Heat 2 15th & finished 7th.
Started pre-final in 11th and got to 5th but a heavy bump on lap 14 and radiator blew on lap 16.
Final got into a melle at the start and engine stalled. Ran the race from the back - still 3rd fastest.
Watch out you front runners Ross is coming.
Good racing weekend and good weather!

Racing is racing - and karts are driven by human beings.
We should not lay blame EVERY time there is a racing incident - only when it is considered dangerous or perhaps unsporting.
I'm sure all drivers push the envelope a little too hard sometimes.

Yeah racing is racing - although perhaps being in the tight and twisty Speedway PLUS track resulted in a lot more contact with drivers being used to Sepang? Then again we were at KB as well.

If there are complaints about an incident then it really should be done at the track to the race officials.

And yes RocK a few drivers were called to have a chat with the COC at some point during the weekend, so the officials were watching.

Yes. We are watching. You can count on it as we are totally against dangerous driving. The officials looks at things in a different light from mechanics and drivers who would scream murder at the slightest thing. I would advise all Team Managers, parents, mechanics as well as drivers to think about the incident before making accusations. If you truely felt that the other driver was dangerous, then by all means speak to the COC who would normally call for the Post Marshal's report to see the notes on the incident. If the COC has witnessed the incident himself, he will take the action without calling for the report. Each Post Marshal are entrusted to look at all incidents and make written reports. They at the same time will inform Race Control of the incident by walkie-talkie. The Chief of Race Control has a written log of minute by minute report of the race. In an inquiry, this log is produced as a witness to the happenings.

All drivers must understand that rules of engagement is to drive in a safe way and not "push the other guy out" If we see this happening we would not hesistate to take action on the driver concerned.

i understand bumping is part of racing and im ok with it. but bump as in "to push out" and/or "use as braking" i think thats unsporting.

"turning-in" is also a problem.

so long COC does something. a chat is good start..

Yes, your championship standings were posted before the KKS had a chance to post the race results online. Thanks and best of luck in AKOC Macau....

Yes Mikko, it was a great race for us.
I had the same incident as you in Heat 1 - not really sure what happened at the 1st corner but managed to climb back during Heat 2. Had a reasonable start in Pre-Finals & with some luck ( The three drivers in-front of me were involved in a crash ), promoted me to 3rd. From there, just drive consistently & came back 1st.
Started well in the finals but just not able to break away from the back chasing group. Remembered that you overtook me but i managed to find pace & lead again. Was overtaken by Eddy twice & managed to stay in front from 3 laps to go. Just drive steadily & won.
Really have to thank my mechanic / friend for the great set-up on the engine & kart - Thanks Rick.
The final race was clean & nice + a close race.
Can't wait to challenge again in Rd.4. Guess everyone will be training hard to get in front. :D
