Karting On ASTRO

Postby Dass19 » Tue Jul 10, 2007 12:51 pm

I was suprised to see that they were showing karting on channel 84 but think that the time is inappropriate as most people are at work or at school.. Any way to get astro to show more of this at a better time and maybe show the whole thing instead of jumping from one lap to another???

Welcome Das19!

Yeah?!? What were they showing exactly? I know Eurosport is really good with karting - they've showed the World Championships live for example.

They were showing the European Championship in Varennes,France where Tony Kart and Kosmic Dominated the races... When exactly do they usually show karting?

I actually haven't seen karting on Eurosport before :)... i do know they won the tender to show the European Championships and the World Championships so we should get those at least :). Eurosport doesn't show all their stuff on the channel we get on Astro though - they have more than one channel in Europe.

our Astro's Eurosport in the International network which dont show karting.
only UK and Italy Eurosport network show karting. Maybe the France Eurosport have it too but i never been in France to see it for myself.

turns out Yahoo owns Eurosport worldwide.

what about TV3, few years back I use to record Malaysian Kart races from TV3. is TV3 still covering the karting races?

TV3.....not that I know of now. Even if they do show, it will be poor quality ( imagine seeing the wrong placing sequence shown due to poor editing ) and it will be at some unholy hour typically 1230midnite!

KartingAsia.com does not condone unauthorized copying of anything.  But if you've got eurosport footage of karting recorded bring it to me!
:D

Jules I think when the Rotax Grand Finals was here TV3 had really good coverage of the race! Or was it another channel?

That's awesome. 8) Another selection of cool vids is on Youtube HERE. It's lots of Rotax Euro Challenge footage. Then of course there are Yazid's (mym on kartingasia.com) videos HERE, including my-kart events and Rotax Challenge.

yeah.. the title was just 'Karting'.. i actually wouldn't mind paying a small fee for italian karting broadcasted here.. maybe more of the other championships because more big names take part in other karting championships...
