Hi
I have a CRG Maximo chassis and was wondering if someone could tell me the neutral settings for this chassis.

Any help is much appreciated - Thanks :)

I think "CRG Asia" is the guy to chime in here. :D

Otherwise the general baseline setting is pretty similar on all karts - medium axle, medium rear hubs with rear width around 1380-1390, middle ride height, ~2cm spacers on the front. Toe-out 1-2mm or 0mm. Caster at standard.

What engine and tyres are you on?

Mikko gave a pretty good starting point but i think kart setups is hard to discuss in the forum.
for me it all depends on your driving style, seating position, tyres, pressure etc.

fast in, slow in. brake late or early, wide in or tight in. so many factors.

Hi,

Yes Mikko, Thanks. In terms of CRG we will the one to speak to.

We realised that we have a lot of our clients telling us how hard it is to find the right combination setting for the Chassis. So we decided that to give our clients a better understanding we spent a great deal of time drafting out an entire CRG Set up Manual consisting of over 30 pages for every track conditions that is available to suit a CRG Kart. In includes optimal tire pressure and trouble shooting tables etc. Its Extremely comprehensive.

If you want it, email me at info@kartcrgasia.com and its yours! Usually we only give this to our Clients, but i don't see why i should be hiding information like this from a CRG customer.

Drop me an email. So that i can send it to you. :)

I've read that guide and it really is comprehensive. Compiled by Joe Ramos and the guys at SSC Racing right?

Though a lot of the stuff was referred back to them, we have added a lot more misc stuff in there since then. :)

ASKing - after you've read it once read it again, and then take it to the track with you!

Another great setup manual from a chassis manufacturer with a lot of general setup info that applies to all karts comes from Arrow Karts - they just updated it a few months ago. You can download it here.

Hi Mikko

I have read the Arrow manual although it is very good, it is no use for the CRG Maximo chassis. I think, if and when I get my chassis tuned correctly it will be an awsome package - better than the Arrow 8)

I wouldn't say it's no use, it has a lot of general setup that applies to any chassis. :D

I didn't mean it in a bad way.

I did try some of the suggested settings and had no real improvement.
I think CRG Maximo is a different beast and I cannot get a comfortable
setup. I admit I am fairly new to karting and would like feedback from
those karters that are in the know.... I'm from Melbourne and there are not that many CRG's around. The local agent has no idea.

I am starting to think I need a really wide front track

Cheers

What are the general problems that you're experiencing and want to fix?

Front track is one thing that different chassis do respond to quite differently. I know some chassis like it wide, some like it narrow.
