Where will you be for Malaysian GP?

Postby Alex Ritchie » Mon Mar 17, 2008 4:13 pm

Ryan and I will be at the Tower on Saturday and Sunday. Bought the tickets a year ago at RM333.

Unlike the previous years there is a strong support race programme this year so the weekend will be busy and exciting. Fairuz in GP Asia and a number of Malaysians in FBMW...

Will unfortunately be watching on TV from the Australian national karting championships being held in Tasmania.

I have the same ticket I think, at the same price as well. I won't be there on Sunday though, probably will have a look at the support action on Saturday.

probably watch it on TV this year.... been most years, i reckon its better to watch on TV as you see all the action and its easier to follow...

but nothing compares to the sound and atmosphere created at the track on race day!

Anyone got the schedule for tomorrow?

I'll go down tomorrow because of the good support-events, but I can't find any kind of schedule anywhere.

www.malaysiangp.com.my is down, and they aren't picking up the phone.

Just for laughs I called the tourism malaysia hotline but they had no idea.

The newspapers don't have the schedule.

Killer I don't think any Malaysian channel shows any of the support events live. Might only get to see highlights on star sports for example a week or so later.

Found a schedule so no need to bother bernie this time around... looks like a fair bit of action all day tomorrow. :D

I have to admit that the main event was pretty boring, thanks to Kimi's total domination.

The only bits of excitement from our seats were watching Massa spin off all on his own and Heidfeld and Alonso taking David Coulthard at Turn 15. They were three abreast into the braking zone!

Got my F1 fix for the year but I am contemplating going to the Singapore GP in September. The viewing will be bad since it is a street circuit but it will be an historical event...

I was watching the Malaysian GP via the ITV feed. Also had F1.com's Live Timing page up so I could keep track of the sector times.

Great stuff watching the 5th - 9th position battles, the camera rarely switched to Raikonen after Massa's slide.

I've got a seat at the end of the straights in Singapore but I definitely want to bring a portable TV to catch the action across the track.
