i think kimi prefer to do things the hard way.. :(
losing 1 point a year before will make you very strong. it shows in lewis driving today.

i can bet Ferrari bosses will like to guess, how many % is Ferrari technology in that car. :P

Well that was action packed!

Faultless drive by Lewis. Kovalainen robbed of a fine second place drive because of Timo's safety car. Then weird thing at the end when Alonso got back past him on the straight.

Massive mistakes by both Massa and Kimi. Then it looked like Kimi's car got damaged when Kovalainen overtook him.

Ferrari was shockingly bad - 6 cars with their engines in them and all retired due to a mechanical failure + Kimi had mechanical failure in qual.

Nico got a third. :thumbright:

The racing looks so much better - cars are sliding around a lot more and drivers struggle more as the car balance changes. :D

accidentally hit the pit lane speed limiter button. didnt lewis did that last year?

Barrichello disqualified from 6th. so Kimi 8th with 1 point, Sebastien 7th with 2 points & Nakajima 6th with 3 points.

Lol accidentally hit it when taking off a tear-off. ooops

David really got pissed off at Massa, saying something along the lines of "I'll kick lumps of shit out of Massa if he doesn't take the blame." :D

I thought David was the main man to blame in that incident ;).

Thanks for the link Mikko.

Does the link work for every race?

Lots of action in the season opener. Looking forward to the next one in Malaysia.

Too bad Kubica didn't look nearly as good in race trim. Would've like to see him take the fight to Hamilton. Heidfeld's second was good along with Rosberg's first podium.

He actually said "I'll kick the sh1t out of the little b@st..d".

David turned into Felipe, who was making an optimistic move. To me it seemed like the blame should be 60% Massa 40% Coulthard - a racing incident between two tough competitors.

I saw the Coulthard / Massa piece as roughly 50:50. Coulthard tried to close it down too late, Massa tried to dive in from too far back. A split second difference would have seen them banging wheels side by side. Coulthard admitted knowning Massa was there or thereabouts and still drove the late apex race line which is not really the cleverest way to extend your drive in the current position....imho

Special thanks to David for providing the most entertaining quote for the weekend! It was terrific live over the circuit PA

I think David just did not expect Massa to make that dive down the inside, so he turned in on the racing line.

To be fair to David he said that he was wrong last year and apologised immediately to Wurz. His colourful answer was to a rhetorical question, "What if Massa does not apologise?"

A great live TV interview though...

Despite McLaren's denials, Gene is convinced that pressing the wrong button also caused Lewis Hamilton to slow down in the title-deciding Brazilian Grand Prix last October.

Gene points out that Ferrari's own speed limit system can only be activated when a driver is in a low gear, not at close to top speed on a main straight, as was Kovalainen at the time of his finger trouble at Albert Park.
"It is incredible that McLaren still have not done anything about it after that incident cost them so dearly"

Coulthard is now quoted as suggesting that designers of modern F1 cars are not concerned enough about drivers' rearward visibility.
"The FIA should realise that you can see almost nothing out of these sidepod mirrors"

Massa did not apologise, he blamed Coulthard for turning into him.

So I guess it'll boxing gloves instead of driving gloves in Sepang...
