What a great race meeting! We really enjoyed the friendliness and warmth of our fellow competitors and applaud the excellent sportmanship and clean driving we saw in Juniors.

Pre-race preparation by Dan's new team was non-existent, with Dan approaching qualifying in a model kart he had not completed even one lap in... Dan kept out of trouble, and got the thing (dead steering, heavy on its wheels) home in each race. Officially 8th. in the Finals and looks like 7th overall in the points. So not too bad for his rookie Rotax outing despite the challenges. Dan is looking forward to doing much better next time. See you all in KB!

New track records for Rotax at Sepang:

Juniors: Kevin Susilo 49.763

Seniors: Imran Zakarias 49.880

Masters: Ray Kong 50.650

Mikko actually went a tiny bit quicker in Qualifying [49.722] but track records are for race laps only, so he missed out [for now?...]

....

For Juniors we expected some familiar faces at the front but I would say Dan, Shahkirah (after a terrible weekend) and Ross Green should be over the moon with their results in the Final. Well done and see you in Kota Bharu.

There are more pictures of the event available for viewing now at both the Shootmoto and Rotax Max websites.

I have somewhere in the region of 3000+ pictures from the two days so drivers interesting in purchasing pictures get in touch. :D

Why have 300hp when you cannot handle a kart's 30hp?
