Hi All,
Been wanting to post this topic earlier but wanted to see the outcome of it. To cut the story short, my Rotax Max Senior Engine and Alfano was stolen (paddock broken into ) from Speedway Plus Elite.

This was not the first for me, when my kart was kept in a different paddock before, a theft also occurred and a few Alfanos were stolen including mine. The paddock tenant was kind enough to compensate me with a new set.

The recent theft which included my engine and Alfano occurred back in Oct 07. This time no compensation. Anyhow tried to claim from Speedway Plus management for not providing proper security but to no avail, they have only one cctv at the entrance and the circuits perimeter is not fully fenced (area near the paddocks are not fenced )

My engine is a P0 Rotax Max Sr 125 (engine No 766708)
The Alfano Pro serial is 1850

So with all you guys out on the track each weekend, if you notice these missing stuffs, pls buzz me at 0162090025, cash reward awaiting 8)

Rgds and Happy N Safe Racing

Sorry to hear that.

Doesnt the paddock owner have insurance to cover loss from theft/fire.

I thought that would be standard or is it not normally practised?

That sucks. We had a bunch of karts and engines and almost everything else in the paddock stolen by our mechanic a few years back.

Btw posting the serial numbers of stolen equipment is a great idea, we could make a list of any stolen equipment serial no's - they can also be distributed to race organisers in the area so that they can check them against engines being used at the races.

Sad to read about such a thing and a good idea to post the serial numbers here.

Sad to hear that too. Looks like the culprit took off with only what he can carry and do a cheap deal.

The next time we buy pre-owned items, perhaps we can post the serial numbers here too. Expose the culprit!

In future if any of you loses engines or items with serial numbers please email me the numbers. I will have my people check during engine sealing or during scrutineering.

I will also pass the serial numbers to my race counterpart in Indonesia for him to check the serial numbers also. This is only what we can do at the least.

I would advise you to get the other tenants at Speedway Elite to make a complaint to PLUS collectively to voice out this problem. Otherwise might be better to get your items insured. Not really expensive if done collectively.

Thanks for all the encouraging feedbacks guys..Btw,the paddock tenant didn't take up any insurance.

well, I hope we'll get some lead onto this. To the rest who hv their prized possession in Elite..pls be more vigilant.

RGDS TO ALL AND HAPPY KARTING.

p.s. Anybody hv any spare engines to sell? I'm now renting engines everytime karting with my group..it's costly i must say..

Hopefully this forum can help in getting word out about theft cases if only to make people aware that thefts are taking place and also to have us look out for the stolen gear a bit more.

Can't remember quite everything that was taken but it was in the order of 4 TonyKarts (1 brand-new never used) + a few older chassis + about 4 max engines + 1 very very fast Parilla Leopard engine, and probably a few more assorted engines + almost all the tools + a lot of tyres. So just a shitload of stuff ;).

Mechanic from Johor got upset with the team and decided to drop by the paddock with a lorry one day. He was a really good hard-working mechanic too. :?
