For me to invest in Brunei is a little out of place as I would be able to have the feel of the place if I am working by a telephone. However, I would like to make an offer to you. If you have the land and is interested in developing it into a kart circuit, I am prepared to help you in design, homologation of the circuit as well as in other areas where you would require expertise. All these for free as well as bring a round of the AMC race to Brunei.

The above is very little in terms of money but at the end you will save a packet if you have to employ someone to handle all that.

I am also looking for someone who would be interested in becoming a dealer for Rotax engines and parts in Brunei. I would like to have someone in place by 1 january 2008. Anyone you know who would be interested. Please get them to contact me at kartshop@time.net.my or my mobile +6019-3520559.

Well, building a track is not that expensive if you have the land already.

if i have a land, are u interested to build a track at Brunei? :D

dear james
my old friend in karting, my advise is that the main straight should be 20% wider than average width of the track. ...12m in your case.

good design... the track flows smoothly at mid-speed corners, good selections of corners especially the hair-pin. but the straight is a bit too short. widening the main straight would make the last turn very interesting because it woulb be blind but fast corner. this in turn would give more speed down the staight since it being short already.

well done boys.

Thanks Razman for your comments. The main straight is a bit short but meets the CIK regulations anyway. One reason for this is that we do not have enough space. Also this track will be in used for only 5 years max and then we move to a new track further into the resort where a full fledged 1.3km track will be built with grand stand, paddocks, restaurant etc. This will be a permanent structure for the next 20 years.

So bear with me for the time being on certain short comings.

Anyone know anything about a new track being built in Malacca?

Found this in an artcile dated 31 May 2007:
Quote:
Mohd Ali said another project, which would be undertaken by the Malacca city council was a go-kart track near the Ayer Keroh toll.

It will be built on a 14ha piece of land, with a 1.5km-long circuit.

He said a 4ha piece of land nearby would be turned into a shopping venue.

when the track will ready to used?..

Heya Mikko! Do you think it's time for the tracks to be updated on the 1st page of this thread? ;) I see some of the info are still pretty obscure!

Are you sure there's one in Penang? I highly doubt it but do confirm if you could!

Ok. When confirm, do let us all know. I've not been back in Penang for a while now. When back there I'll also find out more. It would be good for a well-designed track to be built in Penang.

Mini track at Kepala Batas? How was it like? hope not like the one at Genting...really for kids! lol
