KARTING TRACKS IN THE PHILIPPINES

Postby BONG CASTRO » Sun Jul 08, 2007 11:06 pm

We Have:

Carmona Circuit Philippines -- Homologated CIK-FIA track in Carmona, Cavite

Kart Zone -- in the Cebu Island of the Visayas region

City Kart -- partly owned by Michele Bumgarner's father Lee in Sucat, Paranaque along South Super Highway

Boomland Kart Circuit -- A Kart Track/ Fun Kart along the CCP Complex at the back of Star City Theme Park

Speedzone -- at the Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City

The Olongapo Kart Track -- which is inside the Subic Bay Freeport, a former US base

Well, these are the only tracks I know for now, I heard there's one in Libis, Quezon City which I haven't visited yet.

Soon to come, a bigger Kart Track in Angeles City, Pampanga

yeah! we need more track info and address of all countries in the region! that would seriously help promote the sport.

Jus a suggestion, maybe can post some ad-like questions regarding karting on yahoo answers in the asia pac region(or philippines section) to grab the attention of those ppl/drivers/enthusiatists and get them to join this forum.

Hi kartsoldier! :D

We're still looking for more people from the Philippines to join in the forums. Tell all the karters you know about the forums! Hopefully Bong Castro will also promote the forums a bit this weekend in Carmona.

What is the 24hr endurance race like? Is the organisation really good?

hi mikko!

yup. the 24 hours was very fun, very well organized by the sponsors.. there were a lot of fun and games happened during the whole race. illegal gambling and betting and partying hehe.

the 24 hours was held at the manila speezone track. 4 stroke karts is what we used.. the race was participated by many pro and amatuer racers. there were teams from asian formlua 3, teams composed of pro karters, media teams, touring car drivers etc. almost all pro racers joined the race. christian jones, mark goddard, mike potenciano, jp tuason, tyson sy, angelo baretto and almost everyone from pika( philippine international karting association) joined the race.. i cant wait for this coming 24hours again. it might be better than the previous years. more overtaking! more action hehe. come and visit us! hehe

I did once for a race at Carmona but my ribs gave in from a previous injury so I couldn't race. Took pictures at the track instead with Juha Roiha's camera and had a few beers as well at his place with Angelo.

carmona circuit philippines, carmona, cavite. 1.1kms long. about 35kms south of manila, 45min to an hour's drive, depends on the traffic.
we're racing now this weekend for the akoc and the nationals. this is the best kart track in the philippines.

enchanted kingdom kart track, sta. rosa, laguna 25kms south of manila
it's actually a rental kart track, about 600meters only, but we also hold the nationals there. it's inside a theme park.

boomland kart track, same as enchanted kingdom, tight and twisty, 400meters tops. at the center of manila, again a fun kart rental track, again we hold nationals there.

batangas race circuit. 2 hrs from manila. 2kms long! it's actually a race car, formula 3 and superbike course. we only use the back portion for karting. if you want the thrill of high speed, 5 to a corner racing, this is it!

cebu kart zone, 1 hr flight south of manila. the guys who run this place are great! beaches are minutes away, short track 600meters, but being in cebu is always FUN! look for jonas and blake!
