WHO WILL BE THE ASIAN KARTING OPEN CHAMPION THIS YEAR?

Postby BONG CASTRO » Sun Jul 08, 2007 1:39 pm

The Philippine leg of the Asian Karting Open will be on July 22. Who do you think will emerge champion?

Yeah, I heard a lot on how much Senna has improved. I think this will be her 2nd or third year to race in the Philippines. Good Luck! Thanks for the reply.

Great thanks for the championship standings! I've emailed Rose a few times asking for results and championship points but never got a reply.

I've put the results into a spreadsheet and uploaded them using google documents, they can be viewed HERE.

What did EUGENIO RAIMUNDO get? 1 point in pre-final and 0 in final? The points you posted have him with no results.

Looks like Kotazono is unstoppable in Senior Max?

It's fairly confusing with so many categories - do the guys that are listed in ROK Senior and 125 open for example race in two categories (separate heats), or is it in the same heat?

The Philippine leg is on July 21-22 right? What time? Do we need to pay entrance fees to watch?

My first post. hehehe

Hi elljay. :D

I think it should be either free or very cheap to enter. Best time to go would probably be on Sunday around 12ish so you get to see all the finals!

I don't have the schedule though! Bong help us out here, you're the press officer for the event! :D

1 stefano marcelo phils
2 alesandra madrigal phils
3 allan uy from hk i think

those are the top 3 of rotax max
there were about 16 drivers in rotax max class

after watching the carmona asian karting race and i went to the f1 viewing f1 club at speedzone to watch the nurburgring race... that was one of the best f1
in my life

Thanks kartsoldier.

Now looking for full results of all categories at the AKOC event. Emailing the organisers doesn't seem to work because I always have to wait weeks if not months to hear back from them. I still haven't received the results or any kind of reply from Round 1 despite asking for them right after the event. If they want more drivers to race in their series they should show that they're happy to send drivers (and media) information about the event and respond to questions.
