True I hadn't realised that... thought they were Sparco somehow... I haven't seen the nicer uvex helmets.

Thats right, Bryan was using the Uvex helmet with the Rotax RM 1 livery. It is a very good helmet and fairly light with good ventilation. The actual Uvex model designated for Rotax is FP3 and I believe that it is the base model for the brand

We have since changed the helmet and are currently using the Arai GP5 which we are equally happy about.

I try to make it a point to change the helmet every 2 years for safety reasons. I have been given to understand that the "shelf life" of the helmet is around 3 years even though it has not been damaged.

So a question to the forum " how often do you guys change your helmets" I am asking from the safety aspect and not from the fact that you want a new helmet or that you are bored with the old one.

Can someone post here how a Uvex helmet look like? I recall Martin Wimmer ( a german 250cc champ ) using it during the 80s 250cc GP races....or am I mistaken?
