There are many ways to make the max quicker if you want to bend the rules. You dont even need to buy the DD2 cylinder to do that. The end result is always IT IS ILLEGAL and would lead to disqualification if you run in the Max Series.

If you are thinking of doing the mods for open class, then the moded engine will still not be as fast as a true blue 125 TAG engine. So why bother? Go and buy a proper engine for the open class. That way you will have a good reliable engine.

I do not know what rules are used in Australia but in Malaysia we are checking on all this illegal items now.

Thread Revival!!

With proper jetting, gearing and kart setting..
Rotaxmax is indeed 1 of the best engine..

Thanks a lot to David , James and u guys for valuable info and making my decision right. Not to Mod. Reliability is big issues

A Correct jetting and gearing will take u there :D

Btw Ot, James did u come with the Swiss Hutless Team to Permas last Sun?

Congrat to them for securing podium finishes 2,3,4.
The star of the day is the australian kid challenging louis in the wet and beat him in last corner of the race

Well, Ken at least my faith in human kind is restored. I am glad you found that a stock standard engine with the correct jetting, setup will be better than the moded ones where reliability is an issue.

Unfortunately I was not able to come to Permas on that weekend although would love to. I had a previous meeting fixed in my church. Part of the Swiss Hutless team came and I am happy with the result.

The RMC as well as the AMC will be held soon and I look forward to seeing you participating in the event. No point having the kart and engine and does not compete with other drivers. The person coordinating for the JB and Spore drivers is David Quek who is also my dealer down south. Check with him for transportation of your kart to KL and all details to join the race. SR can be downloaded from this forum itself.

See you in KL.

I'm sure there's plenty of them lying all over the place unloved and abandoned. Hahah

Sigh i miss the good old 100cc days...
21000rpm baby.

I would like to buy such engine,
100cc in running condition
If you have some lying around, unloved, please give me quotation, and I would love to buy a couple ..
I can pay 50 USD for the engines + shipment to Poland (will be expensive shipment.
Poland is e country neighbour to Germany, but sooo far behind as it comes to motorsports.
If any of you guys have a unwanted engine, in any condition 100cc no clutch direct drive, that should be operational, but needs a new piston, and servising, let me know

I just purchased chassis with rotax max, and want to keep rotax max, and sell 100cc with the chassis.

And I would fancy a 100cc as a backup engine myself, 13000rpm on rotax is not enough for me, but the engine lasts, so its good for every day.
