Hi,

As Mikko said I'll race Rotax Max Veteran class.
I'm sure that there will be more Thai drivers, because we have 70- 80 karts in normal racing weekend in Saraburi and near 100 if we race in Bira.
Maybe they'll combine Veteran, Senior and Open classes as in Macau last year?
Maybe Thai racers are not comfortable with too strict rules, but hopefully we'll have more guys to join.

What is AKOC? Is it a kart racing series in Thailand? Is there a website or schedule?

My Daddy will race Rotax Max Veteran class too, he's 57 now.
Hope there'll be more drvivers.
Hope they won't combine the 3 classes together in 1 group, especailly they'll allow KF2 to race in the open 125, the gap will be too big for the 3 classes. But they'll certainly put open 125 and max senior together, course some of the drivers will join both the classes together.
They do it in Macau because they'd got too many classes, I don't think they need to do it in Thailand, do they??

AKOC = Asian Karting Open Championship series
It's the largest Asian karting race series in Asia. (Is it?)

HK the KF2 and others aren't that great when they have to carry the extra-weight which evens things out a lot more.

I guess that depends on how you define largest. You'd have to get some specific numbers to be sure. Overall entry-wise as well as overall drivers.

The final Macau round for AKOC is always a big event and the first round gathered some drivers, but the other rounds haven't seemed to gather quite that many drivers.

I think category grid-size the Asia Max Challenge is better, with I think all events this year at over 15 drivers in both Junior and Senior max, and usually at 20 or more in those categories. AKOC didn't have a single category at 15 drivers in the first two rounds.

After the first two AKOC rounds only Mini-Rok had more than 5 drivers that had done both rounds in any category. 5 drivers in ROK Junior did both, 4 in Max Senior, 0 in Max Veteran, 0 in ROK Senior, 2 in 60cc, and 3 in 125 Open. Mini-Rok is the strongest category in AKOC with grids of 14 and 13 in the first two rounds.

Hi,

Lately in our races in Saraburi more powerful TAG engines have won every race in our class, even they carry extra weight!
With Rotax it's almost impossible to fight against those guys, so I'm waiting for the race with you guys with same Rotax engines!

Well.......there'll be Open 125, Rotax max senior and Max veteran classes.
BUT.......they will mix the Rotax max senior class together with the Open 125 senior class in the same race (maybe also with the veteran), so it will still be the more powerful TAGs in the front leading the Rotax behind. (Especially it's with the same weight in AKOC, 165kg)

By the way, are there anyone using KF2 engines in the Saraburi's races??
What kind of 125 engines they're using in the TAG races???

Hi,

Lately there has been several Sonic and KF2 engines and vith 174 kg minimum weight, they have dominated TAG classes in Saraburi.
With 165 kg minimum they are flying!!!!
