Do you know where can I find information on how each part of a Kart is manufactured?

You can give me links or files.

Thank you very much.

All the parts? Best place to look would be magazines like Vroom and Karting Magazine because they do factory visits, but it still doesn't get very technical into the manufacturing process.

Nothing very complicated about the actual manufacturing of the parts, it's mainly just metal everywhere ;). Plastics made in molds like any other plastic bits. :) For the chassis bend a bunch of tubes and weld them together...

Are you doing a school project or just want to know out of curiosity?

That's a tough question......so wide!

Chassis are bent sets of tubes ( typical Chrome Moly alloy ) and welded together. The science is in the bends and configuration. Same with the other bars which are attached to the main chassis ie. steering rod, nerd bars, rear and front bars but they of lesser metals - possibly just mild steel and chromed.

The rest ie bearing carriers, sprocket carriers, brake carriers are machined parts from aluminium.

Brakes are possibly cast material but CRG has some special stuff going - so I let DNA explain it.

The plastics are typically blow moulded or the likes...

Of course, you have the wheels which are in Magnesium or Aluminium and they are cast - if I am not mistaken...

Engines are a special all together but not very different to what most car manufacturers do. ie. casting, machining and at times, heat treatment....

Hope u find what u r looking for.

I'm doing a school project. But I'm also curious that's why I chose kart as my product.

Do you have more detailed process?

I have found this site, it doesn't have all the parts, some only explains the process but not specifically how it is used to the specific part.

http://www.italiankart.com/en/articoli/articoli.asp?catart=7

I just need the major parts.

Thank you very much.
