India Kart Track information?

Postby Mikko Nassi » Sat Jul 07, 2007 7:05 pm

I know that india has a few of the 4-stroke only tracks, but other than Kohlapur and Coimbatore are there other tracks that 2-stroke karts are raced on?

Other tracks that could possibly take the 2-strokes? Well, there is a track in Nagpur, however it is not maintained and has non-existent infrastructure. But, in an ideal world, yes, that could hold national races if atleast the track surface is improved.

The rest - Goa, Hyderabad, Mumbai, can handle the 4 strokes.

As you know, only two real tracks in India for karting 2 strokes.Kart dealers etc are non existant. Only one manufacturer, and I think he deals with Regetti parts.
Very few karters also, serious ones, that is.
Problem is nobody can test or practice on weekends except in Kolhapur, as it is a permanent track.
Coimbatore is a full race track, and curbs etc are put up for kart events.
Thats why our boys should be able to do the Asia Max,
Would all guys out there try and find some solution to costs?
Actually if the ASN'S are serious, they can help out big time.
Robin, are you listening?

We have managed to acquired temporary rights to distribute CRG karts into India. They are doing so because of our dealership in South east asia and for india they don't have a Dealer yet.

So Yes, we can be considered a India Distributor of CRG karts too.

But other than that, we can't tell you much about India Karting scene. Don't really know much about that country.

Hi Valente
It is just that the ASN in each country must get more involved to help clubs/ drivers with govermenal issues, to smooth passage of karts/ cars etc internationally.
Guys always have problems with customs, taxes etc .

Mikko, there is no other track which can race 2 strokes. Coimbatore is very fast and culled out of a car racing track. Kolhapur you have seen for
yourself. Rumor has it you were to come and test here.(Kolhapur)
