There's no such thing as the KZ1 World Championships.

John will be on a CRG at this year's Rotax Grand Finals.

CRG did good with Arnaud. He was 3rd in the finals before Calado took him off.

I pushed hard during the whole race, never giving up, I didn't want Gary to reach me. This is a World Championship and nobody of us, between Gary and me, wanted to give in. Gary is a very fast driver and the Team put us in the condition to compare ourselves, with the same material, also in the occasion of this important event and, in the end, we made a wonderful race... Now, I want to celebrate!"

“If, before arriving in Tony Kart, someone had told me that one day in my life I could catch this result, I could not believe it. I am very happy but, you know, when you just arrive for second you feel some bitter flavour in your mouth. From yesterday, we were very fast in each manche and on Friday we were fats too, so I thought I could have won, but at the end the result was a second place. I think this is a fantastic result for me and for all the Team : Marco really did a great job winning both the prefinal and the final, I tried to follow him but he faced the race without any problem. I think that it is an immense joy for him today , we two, we all gave our best and he is the World Champion!”
What will you do in the future?
“I think that I will always stay with Tony Kart: I learned a lot in these last three years. I am 26 years old and I almost old as a Kart Driver : although this I am still learning a lot and improving day by day. I personally think that the Team gave me a lot since the beginning. I hope to stay here with the Team until the moment I will retire from racing.”

Watched the race this morning at 6am. It took the director fairly long to figure out that following the action further down the field was more entertaining than watching the front two karts maintain a gap throughout!

Great to watch, Fore on fresh tires even took a place on the start/finish straight of the final lap. One more lap probably would've been 1-2 more places higher - Catt and Ardigo were untouchable though.

Well the Gillard looks like it's not in it's first race weekend while the Sodi and Birel look fresh out of the box.

Also not one of the karts has the 3rd bearing in. Ride-height on all karts is set to minimum as well + no rear torsion bars in any of the karts (gillard has 4th rail out as well). Smells of wanting to get get rid of excess grip in the rear.

Birel forgot to connect the overflow line into the overflow tank .

What did I miss?

however the Sodi seems to have still double seat struts - or did I see wrong?

Am also wondering if the rear mount speed sensor is better on the front wheels. ( I can understand if they have both....)

I think the Sodi has 1 per side, the Gillard has 1 on engine side 2 on left side. The Birel has one on the engine side and 3:shock: on the left side - one goes to the chassis-to-seat mounting point. I haven't seen that before.

you have to factor brake-lock and wheel-spin when using rear pickup. for constant speed mostly use front pickup. for true speed, GPS is the best choice.
