I'll give it a shot and if it does work I'll delete all the posts in this thread mentioning high pressures and keep it as my secret. 8)

you would honestly be amazed witht his on mojos, in testing i went from mid afternoon, 24 degree weather, perfect. to the evening and i went from 12 psi to 22, and i picked up 8 tenths. 8 TENTHS! and consistently for more than 15 laps

OI stop shouting!! ... now everyone will pick up 8 tenths = I get no unfair advantage .

I have found the mojos weird as in the drop-off seemed to have no difference if I ran them on 8 psi or 12 psi. If for example on YGKs I went out on say 11psi I would run best in the first 5 laps and then fade off a bit, but if I went out on 9-10psi I'd have best grip after the first 5 laps... so it wouldn't take many sessions to find out my best qual and race tire pressures.

No such thing with the Mojos, testing with 8psi vs 10psi vs 12psi does little to having the tire perform at different phases of the race  ... maybe I need to add another 10psi.

John King did the test at Sepang today... went 1 second slower. So at least for Sepang it isn't the golden ticket.

oh, i forgot another point. it only helps on radiant tire heating tracks, not so much mechanical heating tracks. I mean that if you do it on a very abraisive and rough track, it won't work as well as normal, but it works on smoother less abraisive tracks

It should have worked then. Sepang is very smooth and fairly easy on tyres. I used 25psi and it was pretty terrible although very consistent - I did a run of about 12 laps and there was no drop-off of speed as you might of expected - I was about .8 slower than I'd been at our normal pressures all the way through the run.

Oh well - it was worth a try.

Maybe because the tires were performing at their worst possible state they couldnt go any slower or faster :?

Some rumors that they might be used in the DD2 category, but nothing confirmed.

They're supposed to be a fair bit faster and more like a YGK apparently.

I've been chatting via private messages to Beco (Dennis Kroes). we are using the D2 tyres in the world finals for the DD2 class at least. he was going to try them last weekend but haven't heard anything yet. dennis - how did it go?
