BiJump clutch for karting racing

Postby BiJump100 » Sat Aug 06, 2011 12:28 am

Hi,

Everybody knows the thrust force of automatic centrifugal clutch totally comes from or depends on the centrifugal force of clutch weight ; friction coefficient of wear pad & clutch rpm, that means
thrust force (fc x μ) of conventional clutch weight
= centrifugal force of clutch weight ( fc ) x friction coefficient of wear pad ( μ)
= (2*Pi*RPM/60)^2 * m (Kg) * r (meter) x μ

To get higher thrust force, 1)the mass of clutch weight, 2) μ ,friction coefficient of wear pad and 3) rpm of clutch must be maximized but the mass of clutch weight is constrained by the limit space, μ value is also faded easily and the rpm of clutch weight also can not be increased all the way.

Consequently for stock clutch, its thrust force is always not stronger enough and serious clutch slippage is existed so the acceleration at take-off or re-acceleration at roundabout is not good enough.

Now here's one new option--BiJump karting clutch--
If the instant THROTTLE response is wanted then BiJump centrifugal clutch will become a MUST.
The main thrust force of BiJump clutch comes from a special mechanism ( similar to PUSH pin in http://www.unionmaterial.com/Instructio ... 1-mini.pdf ),this THRUST force is very high so the clutch slippage is almost vanished.
You’ll find the throttle response of BiJump clutch is no dead point,itstake-off is powerful and re-acceleration is excellent.
