Alex Yoong's book.jpg

I found it to be a fascinating account of his life, struggles and dedication to motorsports. Certainly opened my eyes...

yes, its a good, simple to read book.

I think Alex has been very revealing in his book especially in the fact he understood that he was actually not ready for F1 but had to take the opportunity when it came.....I like the bit when his dad reminded him that his aim was initially to just drive an F1 car but in the end, raced in 17 races! The other quite devastating fact was that the Yoong family was owing ppl money left right centre just to pursue a dream....

Yeah good read and i hope ppl will understand the sports better and all this hype ( & sacrifices ) of getting into F1....

In the end, I think the book also redeems Alex's reputation a bit......which is good. Maybe some who really know him can comment! ( i got to know him semi-professionally....due to my motorsports ventures )

Why have 300hp when you cannot handle a kart's 30hp?

Alex "redeemed" himself in the best possible way when he was given a fighting chance in A1GP. He grabbed it with both hands and did Malaysia and himself proud with his performances. Really sad that the promoters of A1GP could not get their act together to structure the series in a financially sound manner. I miss the exciting racing.

Nice read but was surprised to find that F1 rejects gave a more in depth account of his career
