Who are the Winners of the AMC/RMC RD 1 ?

Postby Rolf19 » Fri Mar 12, 2010 7:17 am

After I have seen comments on activities slowing down on this forum, what about predictions for the race this week-end or the 2010 season ? :bounce:

I was yesterday on the track, there are a couple of fast guys out in each class and I bet everyone has his own favourite.

So,who will win this week-end the Micro Max,Junior,Senior and Masters ????

Any more advanced predictions after day 1?

The Nabil for Senior prediction looks pretty strong at the moment. I've got to get my new kart running a few tenths faster to challenge him.

In Juniors Timothy Yeo looks to have the pace but got caught out at the scales after quali, as long as he has a clean heat 2 he should be making his way up to the top tomorrow.

It was destruction derby in the Masters with almost half the field DNFing. A quick shower resulted in a bunched up field and then the masters just couldn't keep from saying hello by bumping into eachother a bit :D  Looks like Kyle has the edge now but Guy isn't far behind on pace.

Heat 1 Results...

Senior:
1.Nabil
2.Afiq
3.Mikko
4.Farriz
5.Steven

(Japanese driver Sena was 2nd in qual but had some trouble with a bent axle)

Junior:
1. Rahul Raj Mayer
2. Daniel Woodroof
3. Yasuo Senna Iriawan
4. Andy Chang
5. Freddie Ang
6. Timothy Yeo (fastest by quite a margin in qual but underweight so started from the back in 27th)

Masters:
1.Kyle Blockley
2.Guy Ermer
3. Hilarion Anthony
4. Terence Chap
5. Low Took Loong Raymond

MicroMax:
1. Muhammad Luqman Hakim
2. Gezha Sudirman
3. Perdana Putra Minang
4. Brendan Seibl
5. James Pull

DD2:
1. Siti
2. Kelvin Choo
3. Freddy Lawan
4. Ray Kong
5. Guy Ermer

Timothy was sent to the back of the grid for a carburettor infringement and not underweight. The inserts in the carb was of the wrong combinations. I would certainly advise all drivers to download the latest Technical Specification from either Rotax website or from KRS.

The carb combination which was allowed was also given in the Supplementary Regulations issued early this year. If one takes time to read your SR you will not get into this sort of trouble. I have heard some drivers telling the Rotax Scrutineer that reading the SR was a waste of time. Well, getting disqualified is also a waste of time for the driver!!!

New Technical Bulletin will be issued for the next round on 8/9 May. If for some reasons you did not get any information or did not receive any emails from us, please call me directly.

Oh yeah my bad it was an underweight dq in senior qualifying iirc.

Most dq's were to do with the carb combinations. At least 1 driver got caught out with their rear width as well. Simple things to get right but you have to pay attention.
