Like to know if its possible to have an afternoon test session with SHAP.
With the latest and greatest equipment to offer, how much will it cost. :?:

I like to go in with an open mind and learn from the test. Be a good exercise at minimum for me. Family go shopping, Me go karting.. 8)

I know that there's a fleet of karts ready for rental but these are of course not on quite the latest and greatest and they are usually fitted with Junior-Rotax engines... so not what you're looking for.

I'm sure they'll be able to arrange a test session on some recent equipment as well.. hopefully we'll get a reply here so that everyone knows the approximate costs for a similar test.

btw they're are expecting to get a shipment of some of the newest spec chassis in a month or two but not quite yet.

Thanks guys on your comments.

I will get someone from SHAP to answer on the test session cost etc. As for new equipment, I would like to say that presently SHI is undergoing some management and race changes. All systems should be in line by end September.

New changes to the Toxic, Diabolik and DD2 range would be in production by then. New shipment of karts to Malaysia would be in the last quarter of this year in time for the opening season 2008.

In September SHI would also announce the new race management line up as well as the drivers who would contest the European races. Information will be posted on the SHAP web page.

Looks like its better to postpone my trip to KL. Maybe after Hari Raya.

I dont need the newest model lah. Anything recent chassis will do. But hopefully with a P7. like to know what all the hype about it.

Be waiting for that 'someone from SHAP' for the test cost. Just remember after Hari Raya extra poor..

Usually Sepang - they have a container parked there.

James is in Europe now... Ray or Chan you reading this? Do post details of cost for a test session with Rotax Max when you do.

Dear Karters,

The cost for one single test session at Sepang International Karting Circuit with the latest Rotax P7 engine and a Swiss Hutless "Magic" chassis with a brand new set of Mojo tyres is RM2,000.00 inclusive of "one on one" mechanic,petrol/2T,lube and track fee.

Best regards,

RAYKONG

Considering you get a new Mojo, you can hit abt 100laps for the day 10+am till 6pm+....for RM2000.

Of course, assuming no rain and ur body can take the punishment. ( no issues for hardcore like Rock )
