The Petron Karting Super Series got its 2012 season under-way with over 60 entries for the opening round held at the Carmona Circuit. In the main ROK category VJ Suba held off Franco Reyes during the early stages until Reyes faced mechanical problems dropping him out of the race. This allowed Milo Rivera to move up and finish the race in 2nd a few seconds adrift of his team-mate Reyes.
