Michael hasn’t gone to race DTM, A1, or some random saloon car series… he’s gone to contest a World Championship in Karting!
The multiple F1 champion will race in the Karting World Championships to be held in Mariembourg on the 20-23 September. In 2001 he took part in a round of the Karting World championships and finished the second final in 3rd. This time around the World Championship is a one-time affair so it’s not impossible that Michael might add another World Championship to his name.
He’s not on the official entry list yet on cikfia.com, but at least Eurosport and F1-live.com have reported the story.
EDIT: Was just a rumour, he didn’t race!
