FIA Decisions on Karting

The FIA World Motor Spots Council has announced some changes to regulations and other aspects of karting. These include the introduction of the CMH helmets, safety guidelines for leisure karting, and other interesting things such as the requirement of chain, brake, and ignition protection devices in certain cases. Snell CMR-2007 and CMS-2007 helmet standards

International-level track to be built in Singapore?

With F1 fever hitting Singapore in anticipation of their first F1 race in September next year, motorsports has gathered a lot of attention of late. This has resulted to increased interest in developing the national motorsports scene and since Singapore doesn’t have a permanent track (the F1 track is a temporary street circuit), plans have been put forward to build a new race track for cars and bikes, as well as a kart track in the same complex.

ROK Cup International Final 2007

The ROK Cup International Final has just been concluded at the South Garda Karting Track with non other than Michael Schumacher making a guest appearance at the event to greet the drivers. A fair few Asian drivers made the trip over to the event and faired quite well.

KartingAsia.com Downtime

KartingAsia.com experienced ~12hrs of downtime but rest assured we haven’t gone anywhere and we’re not expecting any more problems. The problem was caused by a change in the DNS settings of the domain that didn’t quite go according to plan. Sorry for the outage, now back to karting =).

Thailand Karting Champs Rd.6

ThailandThe 6th round of the Thailand National Karting Championships was held last weekend at the Saraburi circuit which will be getting a lot more use over the next month or so.
